As part of our growth strategy in Germany, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations to lead and optimize our operational performance.
The COO will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities across ASIC design execution, project delivery, manufacturing coordination, supply chain, and quality management
.This strategic leadership role requires a strong combination of operational excellence, semiconductor industry expertise, and team leadership capabilities
.The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling operations, improving efficiency, and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and optimize all operational activities across engineering delivery and production support
– Drive operational strategy aligned with company growth objectives and customer requirements
– Ensure efficient execution of ASIC projects from development through industrialization
– Oversee project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and operational KPIs
– Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, verification, test, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality
– Improve operational performance through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
– Strengthen supply chain resilience and vendor management across semiconductor ecosystem partners
– Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
– Support business growth by improving scalability, delivery reliability, and operational profitability
– Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operational teams
We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on operations leader with a strong background in semiconductor, ASIC, electronics, or other high-tech industrial environments. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with strong execution capabilities and has a proven track record of leading complex technical operations in demanding, fast-paced environments.
– Master’s degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
– Minimum 10 years of professional experience in operations, industrial management, program management, or engineering leadership
– At least 5 years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a semiconductor, ASIC, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environment
– Strong understanding of ASIC development lifecycle, from specification and design through validation, industrialization, and production
– Solid experience in project delivery, operational excellence, supply chain management, and quality assurance
– Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and organizational scaling
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a KPI-driven mindset
– Proven ability to manage priorities, resources, and budgets in complex technical environments
Fluent English is mandatory (spoken and written), as the role requires regular interaction with international customers, partners, and the management team of the SERMA Group. This position is based in Dresden or Herrenberg, Germany, depending on the candidate’s profile and operational fit.
