Head of the Systems Development Hub at Renault for SERMA Ingénierie

“In one year, I went from electronics engineer to Head of a hub with more than 50 staff. “

After specialising in electricity and electronics at the Lebanese University, I came to France for a final year study project at the Troyes University of Technology, in partnership with PSA. I continued with an Industrial Doctorate on lithium batteries for electric cars at the University of Bordeaux.

After an initial experience in the automotive sector following my thesis, I joined SERMA Ingénierie in June 2015 as an electronics engineer at Renault working on the 14V project. After just a few weeks, I was handed the management of a team of 3 people and barely one year later, I became Head of the system development hub. This hub comprises 5 teams of about 10 staff each, all from SERMA.
I now oversee, manage, train and promote these 50 staff members.

At the interface between the technical floors and the Senior Management of SERMA and Renault, I am in contact with all project stakeholders. Working on technical subjects, for a group that is a specialist in its field, and progressing at the technical and human levels while contributing to the development of the Group are essential aspects which motivate me on a daily basis.

SERMA is a robust group on a human scale to which one can make a real contribution and develop rapidly. The Management is close to the staff, listens and helps define a career plan according to individual needs and performance.
